Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics

At Skyuka Hall, our STEAM program is designed to prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics by engaging them in hands-on, practical learning experiences.  From kindergarten through senior year, our students create, design, experiment, and test through the many different real-world experiences that drive our program.  Our mission in STEAM is to create students who are ready to leave our school and become scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, artists, mathematicians, and leaders who go on to solve the most pressing problems that our nation and world faces.

During a learner's time at Skyuka Hall, they will have many opportunities to work with different types of technology.  Our learners have created many different things from miniature golf courses using Sphero robots to laser engraved signs using our AP Lazer machine.  Students have also filmed and produced a short film, recorded podcasts, created things such as a  school news channel, original video games, and animations.  Some of the technologies that our students work with include, but are not limited to:

  • Promethean panels

  • zSpace AR/VR

  • iPads

  • Cubelets

  • Ozobots

  • Spheros

  • VEX robotics

  • LEGO robotics

  • Discover robotics/physics

  • Makey Makey kits

  • Video/Audio recording and editing equipment

  • AP Lazer CNC machine

  • Vinyl cutter

  • Heat press

Skyuka Hall cannot be explained.  It can only be experienced.
