Annual Fund

Most independent schools that deal exclusively with students with learning differences and possess our dual accreditation charge twice the amount of tuition to maintain their small student-to-teacher ratios.  We also grant large amounts of financial aid annually to assist qualifying families.  As a young school, we do not have an endowment or organizational body to make subsidies and we rely on you to help us.  Your participation not only secures our present but helps build this future together.  Therefore, at tuition levels less than half these of similar schools, and per-child expenditures greater than these lessened tuition levels, we rely on the Forward Fund every year to help us fulfill the mission in each child. 

While tuition provides for the basics of education received at Skyuka Hall, the Annual Fund helps ensure the quality of our program remains strong.  Annual Fund donations directly benefits:

•  Further developing our Fine Arts Department to include enhancements to our music program.
•  Teacher compensation and professional development.       
• ·Opportunities for student athletes to enhance skills and further their physical, social and emotional development.
• Financial aid to need-based families
• Technology in the classroom.

Most independent schools cannot charge the full cost of educating their students without pricing themselves out of the market.  This is especially true of specialized schools who honor small classroom ratios.  While Skyuka Hall's tuition covers basic elements, it is the additional revenue received from the Forward Fund that provide the depth and breadth of an individualized experience.

Some corporations will match the gifts their employees contribute to nonprofit organizations.  Many Skyuka Hall families are able to double or triple their personal contributions through employer matching.  Please check with your employer to see if such a program is in place; you or your employer can contact us for more information.

The School's financial strength is dependent upon the participation of all members of the Skyuka Hall community.  

Your involvement generates enthusiasm and encourages others to join you in supporting Skyuka Hall.  Additionally, when we ask foundations and corporations for support, the participation rate from those we serve is an indicator that the School is strong, valued, and worthy of support.

You are the only one who knows how much you are able to give.  We ask only that you consider Skyuka Hall as one of your most important philanthropic priorities.
